If you’ve driven through downtown Sherman recently or visited the studio, you may have noticed a few changes around here. Over the past several weeks, I’ve been giving the studio a little refresh, both inside and online.
Sometimes a creative space just needs a reset, especially when it lives inside a historic building that has been standing for well over a century. With age comes character, charm, and occasionally a little repair work. Fresh paint on the walls, small updates to the surroundings, and a few behind-the-scenes improvements can make everything feel lighter, brighter, and more inspiring. I wanted the studio to feel just as welcoming and timeless as the portraits we create here.
While the physical studio was getting its touch-ups, I also took the opportunity to refresh the website. Think of it as a digital version of repainting the walls, cleaner layouts, updated galleries, and an easier experience for visitors exploring session information, printed products, and recent work.
One thing that hasn’t changed is the heart behind the studio. My focus is still the same as it has always been: creating meaningful portraits and printed artwork that families can enjoy every day and pass down for generations. The goal was never to reinvent anything, just to polish what was already here and make it even more enjoyable for clients walking through the doors or browsing online.
Refreshing a space is a little like updating a frame around a photograph. The image remains the same, but the presentation enhances the experience. Whether you’re stepping into the studio for the first time or you’ve been visiting for years, I hope the updates make everything feel warm, simple, and beautiful.
If you find yourself downtown, you’re always welcome to stop by. I love when people drop in to chat or peek at what’s new around the studio. The walls are fresh, the projects are ongoing, and while the coffee may or may not be brewing, the welcome is always warm.
