Courtney Mitchell Photography is located at 217 South Travis, just half a block south of Sherman’s historic Downtown Square. Surrounded by local coffee shops, restaurants, and boutiques, the studio sits in the heart of a community that is always buzzing with activity.

Courtney purchased and thoughtfully restored the building in 2018, preserving as much of the original character as possible. The previous owner operated a stained-glass studio in the space, and her craftsmanship still shines today in the beautiful transom windows along the front of the building, a detail that adds both history and charm.

Inside, the studio blends exposed industrial elements with warm, inviting textures to create a space that feels both modern and comfortable. It’s designed to be relaxed, welcoming, and intentionally unhurried, a place where clients can slow down, enjoy the process, and see their portraits come to life.
