Not sure where to start when planning a personal branding portrait session? Let's ensure that your photos burst with authenticity and truly capture your remarkable personality, all while having fun!

Brand Clarity is Key:

Start by embarking on a soul-searching expedition into your own personal brand. Visualize your values, mission, ideal audience, and the powerful message you're hoping your visuals will scream from the rooftops. This insight will be your North Star when navigating wardrobe choices, scouting locations, selecting props, and striking your perfect pose.

Find and Friend Your Photographer:

You definitely want a photographer who lives and breathes personal branding photography. Thumb through their portfolio to make sure their style makes your heart sing in tune with your brand's rhythm. Share your brand dreams, quirky ideas, and the 'must-have' shots floating in your brain. It's important that that the you and the photographer understand each other and can creatively work together.

Wardrobe Wonders:

Choose outfits that echo your personal brand and make you feel like a rockstar. Find colors, patterns, and styles that resonate with your soul and fill you to the brim with confidence. Stay clear of Godzilla-sized logos or elements that might try to steal your thunder. Bringing a merry-go-round of outfits will keep your photos vibrant and refreshing.

Hair, Makeup, and Grooming:

Select the perfect style for your hair, makeup, and grooming that accurately portrays your brand and underlines your natural beauty. You might want to partner with professional stylists or makeup artists to help you at your dazzling best.

Location, Location, Location:

Brainstorm with your photographer about ideal locations that vibe with your brand and paint the right mood. Whether it's a bustling cityscape, a serene nature retreat or an intriguing venue, the backdrop should swing in harmony with your personal brand and tell your tale just right. A studio is also a great option if you want to be able to add easy to read graphics to your images for marketing campaigns too!

Props and Accessories:

Think about adding props or accessories that can jazz up your personal brand or reflect your passions and skills. These could be anything from tools of your trade, hobby-related items or symbolic objects. Run your ideas by your photographer and remember to bring these along on the day.

Pose like a Pro:

Strut your stuff in front of a mirror or learn from online guides to discover your most flattering poses and expressions. Find what angles make you feel most superhero-like. This practice will only make you more relaxed and assured during the shoot.

Taking Care is Key:

Pamper yourself with lots of sleep, hydration, and good food in the days that lead-up to your photoshoot. These bits of self-love will have you feeling fresh and ready to shine in front of the camera.

Remember, a personal branding session is your chance to let your unique identity dazzle your audience and inspire them to join in. By preparing with a dash of zest and working as a team with your photographer, you can manifest a set of images that are an honest reflection of your personal brand. Now it's time to let your magic shine!
